Moqtada al Sadr threatens open war

This BBC News article reports that Moqtada al Sadr is threatening open war against the government of Iraq, which has ordered a series of offensives to subdue the Mahdi Army militias. The Iraqi government has taken control of Basra, which had been overrun by al Sadr’s forces, despite a cease fire declared since August.

Now, after suffering battle losses, Moqtada al Sadr is threatening open war. The Iraqi government should say “Good! Bring it on.” Open war is more honest than initiating violence under the guise of a cease fire.

Carter meets Hamas in Syria

In this MSNBC article, Lt. Col. Rick Francona (Military Analyst) offers his opinion on Jimmy Carter’s meeting in Syria with Hamas. Carter wants to include Hamas, a terrorist organization now in control of the Palestinian territories, in Middle East peace negotiations.

This is a brilliant paragraph from the article:

Mr. Carter, please reconsider what you are doing. You are attempting to negotiate between two opposing parties, one of which has specifically asked you not to do so. The U.S. State Department has asked you not to do so. Just whom do you represent at the table?

Either Carter is representing only himself, in a final self-indulgent act of defiance and hubris; or he is seeking to become a representative of Hamas or possibly Syria. It is clear he does not represent the interests of the USA or Israel. In fact, his efforts are undermining the interests of both parties.

Despite advisement not to go, Carter will go to Hamas!

Click here to read about this martyr like act. I mean, Jimmy Carter meeting with Hamas against US advisement doesn’t make him brave. It makes him stupid. The mentality of these people will leave him in a very bad position. I wonder who Jimmy Carter is working for at this point. It doesn’t appear to be the US. If they let him live, then maybe he will join their organization? Or he may be the perfect hostage to start WWIII?

I am not sure of his agenda, but he appears to have learned much from the polish adviser, Zbigniew Kazimierz Brzezinski, who got him through the late 70′s to early 80′s and the overthrow of our friend, the Shah of Iran, and now he wants to give it another go. (He is with Obama now.)

Also, Israel is not happy. Click Here to read about this. Israel tends to have tempers, in my humble opinion, and nobody likes an angry Israel.

So, should Carter be doing this, if we urge him not to? Not if he is a good citizen.
