Health Care Reform

Here are some positive directions for health care reform:

  1. Tort reform
  2. Health insurance deregulation
  3. Regulations to ensure that coverage cannot be denied for pre-existing conditions
  4. Removing the disconnect between the health care consumer and the costs associated with services received.
  5. Free market approaches to health care reform
  6. Increase the supply of medical professionals by reducing the influence of the medical cartel

Liberals punked by Obama

This op-ed Obama’s Trust Problem by Paul Krugman of the NYT shows the opposite side of the equation. Whereas those opposed to government run health insurance are cynics, idiots, and liars, those who voted the man into office are revolting because the President has broken their trust.

Obama: Americans are cynics, idiots, and liars

This editorial Among the Cynics by Katherine Mangu-Ward is pretty insightful.

It’s sad to see the President directly, indirectly through his staff, and also through his allies in the Democratic members of Congress call the American people cynics, idiots, and liars… and indeed Un-American. “A party that elected a community organizer president complains about organized communities.”

It’s even sadder that he honestly believes it. And he is directing the government to treat you as such.

Does he think the American people are stupid too? Just how stupid does he think we are?

So then, Greenland won’t be melted by 2030?

Hat tip to J.Cousar at Freedom Torch for this find.

Which is it? Global Warming doing us in this soon, or was it just a scare tactic? We should be good to our environment, a fact I acknowledge. Should we lie though, about it? I think not.

Again, with the “double standard”.  I thought the world couldn’t take us taking all the natural resources and wouldn’t tolerate it…Is Brazil not part of the world?
